You can enhance the opacity of iPhone design components once more.

Apple has launched iOS 26.1, featuring a new transparency toggle for Liquid Glass. This toggle addresses some of the readability problems that were brought about in iOS 26, enabling iPhone users to reduce the glossy design for buttons, tabs, and various navigational components.
As highlighted during the iOS 26.1 beta, users can toggle between two Liquid Glass styles with this feature. One style embodies the existing translucent design, whereas the other introduces a more frosted appearance that enhances opacity and contrast.

Below are Apple’s complete patch notes for the iOS 26.1 upgrade:
Liquid Glass feature allows users to select between the standard clear appearance or a new tinted variant that enhances the material’s opacity in apps and notifications on the Lock Screen
Live Translation now includes AirPods support for Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, and Italian
