What were your expectations?
To embark on a new adventure – my inaugural blind date! And I wouldn’t have been opposed to finding my soulmate.
Initial thoughts?
Very stylish jacket. She appeared to be quite talkative, which was a plus since I am too.
What topics did you discuss?
Job transitions. Living abroad. Learning new languages. Reading. Traveling. The notion that “Good table manners?” is a ridiculous inquiry.
Most uncomfortable moment?
When I unintentionally spilled wine onto the table instead of into a glass.

No guidelines. Yet, I hear people claim that “Good table manners?” is an absurd question.
What is the best aspect of Eliza?
She has experienced such a vibrant life. I was captivated by her many adventures, but the highlight was how effortless she was to converse with overall.
Would you introduce Eliza to your companions?
Definitely. They would likely find her more engaging than me.

Perhaps as someone well-meaning, even if the execution is lacking?

Just to the station, however, we lingered until the restaurant closed. We both had journeys ahead.

A quick peck just before the doors shut, when it became apparent we weren’t catching the same train.
If you could alter one thing about that night, what would it be?
To reside closer to the restaurant.

I would certainly like to meet her again as a friend. She was incredibly easy to chat with and I had an enjoyable evening.

Friendly, with gentle eyes, a wonderful hug, he immediately made me feel comfortable.
What topics did you discuss?
Our mutual passion for language learning and travel, including Kammy’s recent journey to Guatemala. How we arrived at our current paths in life (my previous career in musical theatre and transition to law). Kammy holds a PhD in astrophysics, and I’ve always been fascinated by stars, so listening to him was captivating.
Most uncomfortable moment?
The farewell kiss (see below).

We were too absorbed in our fun and engaging conversation to worry about manners.
What is the best aspect of Kammy?
He was open to new experiences and was both engaging and interesting.
