UK claims Russia conducted submarine activity concerning cables and pipelines

These “mini-submarines” can be deployed stealthily, during the night, from surveillance vessels such as the Yantar, which has been observed previously lingering in the English Channel. They possess the capability to sever cables or, in certain instances, there are concerns they may intercept them, enabling Russia to inspect the data flowing through.
