The toy brand is acquiring “select assets” from the home arcade machine manufacturer.

Following a rumor that home arcade manufacturer Arcade1Up might cease operations, the company has made a definitive statement regarding its direction. “Select assets” from Arcade1Up have been taken over by toy firm Basic Fun, and while Arcade1Up is not finished, the future of the brand remains somewhat unclear.
Recently, an email screenshot allegedly from an Arcade1Up employee conveyed a bleak outlook. In the email, which can be viewed on Reddit:
Arcade1Up is stopping operations. For many of us, this Friday will be our last day.
I cannot comment on what the future holds for the brand, as it is not my position to disclose what will happen next and who will take charge of it.
I am unsure of the future plans for the arcade systems or the Infinity Tables. I think they will maintain their current operation, but I cannot confirm this.
At that moment, I attempted to get in touch with Arcade1Up for a response, but did not receive any information.
However, on Tuesday, Arcade1Up and Basic Fun released their official announcement regarding the agreement:
We want to respond to several queries we have seen regarding the Arcade1Up products.
Basic Fun! has taken ownership of select assets of Arcade1Up and aims to support, as much as possible, the home arcade category and the existing Arcade1Up products available in the market.
This asset acquisition demonstrates our continuous dedication to increasing our footprint in the home arcade arena, supporting current Arcade1Up titles and products alongside our existing arcade offerings.
We will have more information to share in the new year, and we are excited about continuing to serve the arcade fan community. Game on!
Arcade1Up and Basic Fun did not respond quickly to requests for comments seeking further details about the agreement and the anticipated support for Arcade1Up products.
