Microsoft’s latest Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE), which introduces a console-like navigation style for gaming handheld on Windows PCs, is set to be available for another series of devices: the MSI Claw. As part of the updated Windows 11 Insider Preview Build, Microsoft has launched support for the Xbox FSE in preview for “MSI Claw models” today, the company reported.
FSE launched on the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X earlier this month, and my colleague Sean Hollister encountered numerous challenges with it (and the new handhelds). If you are keen on setting up the Xbox FSE on your MSI Claw, you may want to hold off until certain issues are resolved and until it becomes available beyond the Windows Insider program.
To activate the Xbox FSE, “on supported devices, navigate to Settings > Gaming > Full screen experience, then choose Xbox as your home app,” Microsoft states. “After it’s enabled, you can access FSE via Task View and Game Bar or set your handheld to enter full screen experience upon startup.”
In today’s announcement, Microsoft mentions that “other OEMs” will be allowing their handhelds to utilize the Xbox FSE “in the upcoming months,” and it is already known that Lenovo’s Legion Go 2 is scheduled to receive it next year.
