The newest application from the group behind Bluesky is Attie, an AI assistant that enables you to create your own algorithm. During the Atmosphere conference, Jay Graber, Bluesky’s former CEO, alongside CTO Paul Frazee, revealed Attie, which operates on Anthropic’s Claude and is constructed upon Bluesky’s foundational AT Protocol (atproto).

Attie permits users to generate tailored feeds using natural language. For instance, you might request “posts about folklore, mythology, and traditional music, particularly Celtic traditions.” Initially, these custom feeds will be limited to an independent Attie app. However, the aim is to eventually share them in Bluesky and other atproto applications.

This is merely the beginning. Users will ultimately have the ability to utilize Attie to vibe-code their personal applications atop atproto. In a blog entry, Graber stated:

We designed the AT Protocol so that anyone could develop any application they can envision on it, but until recently “anyone” actually meant “anyone who knows how to code.” Agentic coding tools alter that. For the first time, an open protocol can truly be accessible to all. It’s becoming increasingly feasible to customize software without any coding expertise whatsoever. The Atmosphere functions as an open data layer with a precisely defined schema for applications, rendering it particularly well-suited for coding agents to build upon.

Currently, Attie is in a restricted beta phase. However, you can join the waiting list by visiting attie.ai.
