Pixels consistently rank among the most-leaked devices annually. Previously, phones have been captured directly from the assembly line or “fallen off a truck,” appearing on sale months prior to their official launch. Nevertheless, it is improbable that the 15 Superfan testers will result in more leaks. Like many other brands, Google’s pre-production sample devices feature physical markers to assist in identifying their provenance if they surface in a leak or auction listing. The NDA will likely be intimidating enough to ensure the testers adhere to the rules since they would prefer not to forfeit their Superfan status. Google has also begun disclosing information about its devices sooner—its Superfan testers may even participate in these early previews.
You can register to become a Superfan at any moment, though it might take several weeks to gain access post-application. Google has not verified when the selection process will commence, but it must be soon if they aim to collect insights for the Pixel 11. The forthcoming device has likely been under development for over a year, and it will need to finalize the features several months before the anticipated release in August 2026. The Pixel 10a is projected to debut even earlier, in spring 2026.
